Started a new job
After a very difficult and depressing job search, I started a new job. I now work for Unleash: a small, open-source company that does feature flags.
I’m super happy that I managed to find a role in the insane market (and world) that we’re in right now.
Feature flags are a new domain that I’m excited to learn more about.
Still in a holding pattern
My life suddenly ground to a halt in November, for a variety of reasons.
There are still other needs that need to be resolved that prevent me from making any plans. I have a few talks lined up, and that’s all I can focus on right now.
It’s been a long, difficult winter.
Remote work
Another reminder that remote work is really not going away. Remote teams are alive, and shipping.
- Texts.com was acquired by Automattic for for $50 million and they were fully remote without an office.
- Linear is doing great and shipping like mad.
