A representation of Henri David Thoreau writing Walden in a graphic novel.

I’m conflicted about the art. The barrenness of the frames, the simplicity of the lines, there’s something soothing to it. But I would want to see more of the lush nature that Thoreau describes.

The index of all the sources at the end of the book give us a glimpse of the colossal effort to find excerpts across 5 books to use as one-line captions for a 160 p comic. John Porcellino has a patreon if you’re into this kind of art.
