I’ve always wanted to read The Sandman, but never connected with the art. This semi-autobiographical novel is Neil Gaiman’s attempt to “dial-down” on the fantasy part of his writing.
The audiobook is amazing. I’m not to the first to say how good a narrator Neil is. He’s got multiple Audie awards on top of his impressive accomplishments as a writer.
I liked how the book lets us see the world as a child does. It reminded me how quickly our adult minds can turn rigid and boring. Recommended reading if you have children, in my opinion.
